Sirloin Stockade Loreto

The chain. Sirloin Stockade is a grill and buffet chain: you pay a flat fee and eat without limit from the counter — grilled meats, sides, salads, soups and desserts. It works for groups, for families with teenagers and for anyone who wants to eat a lot at a fixed price; it is not the place for a chef's dinner.

This branch. In Tizapán, San Ángel, inside the Plaza Loreto circuit, the old factory complex converted into a shopping and cultural centre that also holds the Soumaya Plaza Loreto Museum.

Getting there and when. San Ángel has no Metro: Metrobús along Insurgentes, or a taxi from Barranca del Muerto; there is mall parking. Open 12:00 to 21:00, so it serves lunch and an early dinner rather than dinner proper. Sunday midday is when most families arrive at the buffet: go before 14:00 if you want a table without waiting.
