This event is held every year. The Mexico City Grand Prix is run at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, in Magdalena Mixhuca, and has been a fixture of the Formula 1 calendar since its return in 2015. The race weekend normally falls in late October; the exact dates are set by the FIA calendar published the previous year, so confirm them before booking.

What makes this circuit different. Altitude. At more than 2,200 metres the air is thin enough to change how the cars behave, and the circuit's signature is the stadium section, where the track runs through the old Foro Sol baseball stadium with grandstands on both sides — the loudest part of any race on the calendar.

Practical notes. Tickets go on sale months ahead and the good grandstands sell out. The circuit is served directly by Metro Ciudad Deportiva and Velódromo, line 9, which is by far the best way in; driving means hours in traffic. Bring sun protection and a jacket: it burns at midday and cools fast after sunset.
