This event has finished. Lego Playtime was a temporary family activity held on Avenida Constituyentes, in Daniel Garza, next to the Bosque de Chapultepec. It is no longer running, and this page is kept for reference.

What to do with children in the same area instead. This address sits on the edge of Chapultepec, which is the single best place in the city for a day out with children. Within walking distance: the Papalote Museo del Niño, a hands-on science museum built for children to touch everything; the zoo, which has free entry; the lake with pedal boats; and the castle on the hill, reached by a climb or a shuttle.

Practical notes for Chapultepec with children. The park is enormous — pick one section rather than trying to cross it. It closes on Mondays, which catches people out. Take water, a cap and sunscreen: at 2,200 metres the sun is strong even when the air is cool. Metro Chapultepec, line 1, Constituyentes and Auditorio, line 7, serve different entrances, so check which one you need before setting off.
