Until 30/06/2020
This package has expired. Orgullo Cultural was a cultural package in the La Capital en la Diversidad programme, priced from $6,469 MXN and valid until 30 June 2020. It is no longer on sale, and this page is kept for reference. Ask the operator whether an equivalent is available now.
What it was built around. The cultural side of a city that has been one of the most open capitals in Latin America since the 1970s — the first gay club opened here in 1974, the first Pride march in 1979, and same-sex marriage was legalised in 2010, before anywhere else in the region.
How to assemble the same thing now. The Museo de Arte Moderno, holding Frida Kahlo's Las dos Fridas; the Frida Kahlo Museum in Coyoacán, booked online well ahead because it sells out daily; the Casa Estudio Diego Rivera y Frida Kahlo in San Ángel; the MUAC for contemporary work; and the independent theatre of the Roma and Condesa, which carries most of the city's queer performance.
Practical notes. Almost every museum closes on Mondays. The Marcha del Orgullo is usually the last Saturday of June and fills Paseo de la Reforma.
