This run has ended. Las PMS (Peligro: Mujeres Sobreviviendo) was staged at Foro Shakespeare, Zamora #7 in the Condesa, and the season is over.
What it was. A stand-up show built by and around women comedians — the name plays on the English acronym and expands it to "Danger: Women Surviving". It belongs to a strand of Mexican comedy that has grown fast over the past decade, with women's collectives and all-female line-ups now a fixed part of the city's circuit rather than an occasional novelty.
What to expect from the format. Several performers doing short sets, in Spanish, with material rooted in local life: politics, work, family, the city itself. Audience interaction is normal.
Finding a show now. Foro Shakespeare and small venues across the Condesa, the Roma and the centre programme stand-up several nights a week and publish line-ups a week or two ahead. Expect a cover charge and a minimum spend; shows start around 20:00 or 21:00.
Getting there. Metro Chapultepec and Juanacatlán, line 1, and Patriotismo, line 9. Parking is scarce; for the trip home, use an app taxi.
